Gregory Downing has written an appreciative report on the 1999 workshop on Annotation and the Foundation in general (JJQ, vol. 2, no 2, winter 1999, pp. 20–29). According to Downing, “anyone interested in Joyce who fails to take advantage of the Zurich Joyce Foundation is nuts.”
