James Joyce has inspired many visual artists, from sculptors to painters and photographers.

The Zurich James Joyce Foundation owns a small but unique collection of artworks inspired by the life and work of James Joyce. We are currently working on an online gallery with selections from our collection. Our aim is to complete this online gallery by the summer of 2027.

Please also note our online gallery with a series of paintings inspired by Ulysses, by the Irish painter Aidan Hickey. The paintings were exhibited in Zurich as part of the exhibition “James Joyce, Ulysses, and the Law” (15 April to 18 May 2025). The Zurich James Joyce Foundation would like to thank Aidan Hickey for permitting us to display his work online.
