Fluntern Cemetery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Joyce was buried in a simple grave in Fluntern Cemetery, near the Zoo, on 15 January 1941. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a consolation for Nora that her husband would be able to hear the lions\u2019 roar from his grave as he was very fond of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 16 June 1966 (i.e. on Bloomsday), a bronze statue by the American sculptor Milton Hebald was added to Joyce’s grave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nora and Giorgo Joyce are buried in the same plot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucia Joyce is buried in Kingsthorpe Cemetery, Northampton, UK, but in 2023 a commemorative plaque was added to symbolically reunite her with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
